Kate Sinclair

 

Kate Sinclair founded Alchemy Entertainment Ltd at the end of 2018 to create high-end drama and film and signed a first look deal with ITV Studios in 2019.

She is currently developing a raft of projects including THE THREE by Sarah Lotz, PUSH by Ian Martin and PROOF by John Brownlow.

Previously, she was an Executive Producer at The Forge for three years where she developed and Executive Produced, THE MINIATURIST for BBC 1 and Masterpiece, which was broadcast in 2017. This won the prestigious Ivor Novello Award in 2018, the Cameo Award in 2018 and was nominated for a number of other awards including the Broadcast Award for Best Single Drama in 2019.

Prior to this she was an Executive Producer for Company Pictures where she developed a slate of nine projects over two years.

She came to TV from the film industry where she worked for ten years for several companies including Film 4, the UK Film Council, Kudos Films, Seesaw, and Aardman in a variety of roles. She has always specialized in finding properties for adaptation from books in manuscript. This includes SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE, which she sourced two years prior to publication, SALMON FISHING IN THE YEMEN and THE MINIATURIST.

She began her career as an award winning theatre director after training in Poland. She was an Associate Director in two buildings and worked at the RSC, Young Vic, Gate Theatre Dublin, Bolton Octagon, Palace Theatre, Watford and Stary Teatr, Krakow. She directed seventeen freelance shows, winning the John Fernald Award for Directors and receiving a nomination in the Manchester Evening News Award for her production of Samuel Beckett’s HAPPY DAYS.

 
 
 
 
 

KEVIN LOADER

 

Kevin Loader is one of the UK’s most established film and television producers.

His current work includes his most recent collaborations with Armando Iannucci: The HBO/Sky Atlantic comedy series AVENUE 5 starring Hugh Laurie, Josh Gad, Zach Woods and Rebecca Front, and the award-winning feature film, THE PERSONAL HISTORY OF DAVID COPPERFIELD starring Dev Patel.

Loader’s previous films with Iannucci were THE DEATH OF STALIN and IN THE LOOP.

He spent fourteen years at the BBC, working in current affairs, arts documentaries and drama. He was the founding Executive Producer on the BBC’s ground-breaking cultural magazine programme, THE LATE SHOW, before moving to drama and working on serials which included, THE BUDDHA OF SUBURBIA, CLARISSA, THE TENANT OF WILDFELL HALL and THE CROW ROAD.

Since leaving the BBC he has produced over a dozen feature films, including John Madden’s CAPTAIN CORELLI’S MANDOLIN Sam Taylor-Johnson’s NOWHERE BOY, Andrea Arnold’s, WUTHERING HEIGHTS, Julian Jarrold’s film version of BRIDESHEAD REVISITED and ALPHA PAPA: THE ALAN PARTRIDGE MOVIE. THE LADY IN THE VAN, a huge hit at the UK box office, marked Loader’s second collaboration with Nicholas Hytner and Alan Bennett after he produced 2006’s film of Bennett’s award-winning play THE HISTORY BOYS.

Loader has worked extensively with director Roger Michell and produced most of Michell’s British films including MY COUSIN RACHEL with Rachel Weisz; LE WEEK-END starring Jim Broadbent and Lindsay Duncan; VENUS, for which Peter O’Toole received his final Oscar nomination; THE MOTHER, starring Daniel Craig and Anne Reid; the film of Ian McEwan’s ENDURING LOVE; and HYDE PARK ON HUDSON, starring a Golden Globe-nominated Bill Murray. The pair also made the ITV Drama THE LOST HONOUR OF CHRISTOPHER JEFFERIES, which won both Bafta and RTS Awards for Best Drama Serial in 2015.

 
 
 
 
 

PAUL RITCHIE

 

Paul has worked in the industry for many years across multiple genres. This has ranged from the independent films like BEND IT LIKE BECKHAM to the recent Emmy award winning TV series MCMAFIA which he produced in 2018.

He has collaborated with Celador as a Co Producer on various films, from the successful low budget horrors such as EDEN LAKE and THE DESCENT to the Bafta and Oscar award winning, SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE.

Further Co Producing collaborations have included with Ecosse on various projects, such as the acclaimed NOWHERE BOY, with Kudos on the adaptation of BRIGHTON ROCK, and with Hammer Films on THE WOMAN IN BLACK.
